Twenty-four students returned to West Hempstead’s Pickleball Plus, the Madison Square Garden of Pickleball, for Year II of the Rambam Pickleball Classic! From freshmen to seniors, to faculty, including Reb Yitz and Dr. Goldman, students competed in 5 rounds of regular season play before hitting the playoff matches. The action was fierce with several upsets early on, but in the end, it was a senior showdown with Ephraim Twersky and Gabe Weiss facing down fellow seniors Ethan Farber and Jacob Gordon. While Twersky and Weiss put up a valiant effort, there was no stopping an acrobatic Ethan and the backstop of Gordon! Even though Pickleball is a sport that has come to relatively new prominence, the Rambam Pickleball Classic is already becoming a Rambam institution.
