One of the most enjoyable aspects of the day is Rebbi-Talmid Purim, where talmidim spend part of the day visiting their Rebbeim’s homes. Throughout the day, talmidim visited their Rebbeims’ homes in West Hempstead, Woodmere, as well as Brooklyn, to spread some mishloach manos, divrei Torah, and Purim spirit! The Rebbeims’ homes were incredibly welcoming, with food laid out, big smiles at the door, and simcha in the air to make every stop special. Such experiences remind us that Rambam is not just a school, but a community where the Rebbe-Talmid relationship extends far beyond the walls of the classroom Yosef Harris (Senior) 12A Shiur Kumzitz with Rabbi Schimmel Students in the 12A Halacha shiur with Rabbi Ilan Schimmel enjoyed a kumzitz with spiritual singing and “Oneg” food: Chulent and Kugel. The class focuses primarily on Kashrut and has gone in depth on the issues of Bishul Akum: food cooked by a gentile. The grade previously had the privilege of welcoming OU Head, Rabbi Luban, special thank you to Rabbi Zev Cinamon for arranging this, who gave students an inside scoop on the workings of the kosher business. There’s no better way to welcome Shabbat than singing, dancing, and chulent!
