Eight years after graduating from Rambam, Doniel Fodiman, Class of '18, returned to the school on Thursday afternoon to speak with juniors and seniors about the path that took him from Rambam to yeshiva and eventually to service in the IDF. Fodiman spent much of the assembly discussing his experience serving as a lone soldier.

He spoke about his time in the army before and after October 7, what it was like to serve in Israel without his family nearby, and his experience as one of the few religious Jews in his unit. Rambam is incredibly grateful to Doniel for returning to the school to share his experiences and to give current students a look at one possible path after graduation.
