Rambam seniors Yoni Pfeifer and Yossi Harris have qualified for Public Forum Debate at the National Speech & Debate Tournament after winning the Citron PF National Qualifier. Their victory earns them a spot at Nationals, which will take place this year in Richmond, Virginia, where they will compete against some of the top high school debate teams in the country.

The National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) Nationals is the largest high school speech and debate tournament in the States. Each year, thousands of students qualify through regional tournaments and compublic speaking, and interpretation.

The duo came into the tournament on a winning streak from previous competitions kept that momentum going at the Citron National Qualifier. Eventually finishing in first place and securing their trip to Nationals with a 5-0 record. Rambam has had students reach Nationals in the past and perform very well, so Yoni and Yossi now look to continue that strong tradition for the school’s debate program.

We wish them the best of luck as they head to Richmond to compete at Nationals this June!
