This past Monday, Rambam’s celebrated College Bowl Mavens headed back to Beth Shalom for their first Bowl of the season. College Bowl is a competition in matters of trivia, ranging from history, to math, to current events, to Mike Huckabee. Back in October, the captains had worked tirelessly to select the cream of the crop to continue the legacy of our Mavens, and the new team did not disappoint.
The JV Mavens lived up to the reputation set by their predecessors, going 3-0. In particular, young Zeke (sophomore) proved to be an absolute College Bowl Machine! Varsity went 2-1, losing by the slenderest of margins. An unfortunate occurrence, but one which will be corrected immediately! The Varsity, however, did soar above the other two teams they played.
The Mavens continue to dominate the Long Island Division, and can’t wait for more glory at the next Bowl!!!
