Rambam Mesivta juniors David Rabinow and Effie Neuman are headed to CIJE Tank on November 15 after their invention, BioCap, was chosen as one of just 14 projects to present. BioCap is a smart milk cap designed to detect whether milk has spoiled. The cap works by measuring changes in the milk's conductivity. As bacteria grow and milk begins to spoil, its chemical properties change, allowing BioCap to compare its readings to a baseline and determine whether the milk is still fresh.

BioCap went through months of development, testing, and refinement before being presented at CIJE Innovation Day last year, where David and Effie won Best Pitch. Since then, the project has continued to be improved. Now, they will have the opportunity to take the next step and pitch BioCap before a panel of entrepreneurs at CIJE Tank, where projects are judged not only on their engineering but also on their potential to be brought to market. We wish David and Effie the best of luck as they represent Rambam at CIJE Tank!
