Rambam Seniors on Thursday heard a presentation from the gift of life organization led by Avi Katz (Senior). The assembly related to taking cotton swabs to be added to The Gift Of Life’s national registry for donating bone marrow and stem cells. While the registry comes with no commitment, it allows the organization to test volunteers genetics to see if they are a match for those in need of a donor.
Gaining bone marrow or stem cells can be a life or death issue, so the record extends a major thanks to Avi Katz for running the potentially life saving presentation.
