Hillel Goldman - Principal Rabbi Avi Haar - Assistant Principal 284 Mott Avenue, Lawrence, NY, 11559 516-371-5824 Thursday, the senior class enjoyed a variety of senior traditions. At a moment’s notice, the previous night, the class arranged an amazing day. Shopping was done until the wee hours of the morning, scheduling approvals went smoothly, and transportation was handled successfully. The day was jump-started with “Senior Sunrise,” which involved davening at sunrise at Long Beach, followed by a scrumptious breakfast. The class enjoyed bagels, coffee, orange juice, chocolate milk, and more (shoutout to Avichai for picking it all up). After breakfast, everyone took full advantage of the beautiful weather and the beach. Kavi Pearlman brought a chessboard, while beach chairs and towels allowed for some well-earned relaxation. Cold plunges, 10-on-10 football, and ultimate frisbee were just some of the activities that kept the energy high. After six hours of fun, the beach portion of the day ended with delicious boardwalk ice-cream, and everyone made their way to Yossi Harris’s house for an incredible BBQ cookout. Once they arrived, things picked up quickly. Henach, Josh H, Avi L, Shmuli, and Moshe H worked the grill and kitchen, preparing steaks, salads, and more. Yaakov Englard kept the crowd going with his entertainment. With four years of high school coming to an end, the class took a moment to reflect. Looking around, everyone felt grateful for the time spent together and excited for what lies ahead. Yossi Harris gave a speech about how meaningful it is that the class came together and grew as individuals, followed by Aidan Mayer, who spoke about the past four years and each person’s unique development. After swimming, eating, and sharing a few words, the day came to a close. Everyone went home satisfied in a day, not just of fun, but of meaning. Many people played a major role in making the day a success. Thank you to Avichai Yosipov, Michoel Groyer, Yaakov Englard, Yitzy Rappaport, and our host, Yossi Harris, for spending countless hours planning and shopping. Thank you to Jacob Gordon for picking up the tefillin so the class could daven netz at the beach. Special thank you to Yoni Pfeifer for moderating, along with Head Chef Henach, Sous Chef Joshua Horowitz, and everyone else who helped out in the kitchen. Shoutout to Ben for bringing the camera and suggesting the schedule change due to the weather—without you, it wouldn’t have been possible. A major thank you as well to the Rambam Mesivta administration for supporting the seniors and allowing the day to run so smoothly and incredibly!
