Early this week, students from 11A and 12A were treated to a shiur by Rabbi Moshe Taragin, of Yeshivat Har Etzion in Gush Etzion. Rabbi Taragin gave a shiur about Mesechet Brachot, specifically Perek Shishi. The shiur emphasized how one can use categories to understand Gemara better and use Nafka Minahs to understand the importance of such distinctions. The shiur also balanced Halacha and Hashkafa as well as personal reflections on morality.
Students from both grades participated in both asking and answering questions. The school thanks Rabbi Taragin for his shiur and can’t wait for the next time he comes to Rambam.
