The next day was “Anything But a Backpack Day,” held in conjunction with Jersey Day. Wearing their favorite jerseys, students brought in their wacky “bags,” including vacuums, coolers, cabinets, garbage cans, birdcages, and even a brick of ice! Every year, the big “Anything But a Backpack Walk-Off” takes place at midday, when students strut down the hallway runway to show off whatever creative contraption they are using to carry their books. This year, our winner was David Bondar (12th) with the vacuum, with honorable mentions to Yaakov Moskowitz (10th) with a mini fridge and Jasper Obstfeld (9th) with a hot water urn.
