Rambam With over 425,000 subscribers to his name, “Schnee” came to Rambam to discuss film analysis and the YouTube industry. Frosh Mesivta, Herschman, a Schnee’s, arranged for him to speak to the Rambam Classic Film Club and the Writers’ Guild.
Schnee is a content creator with a focus on fiction analysis videos and discussions about “media like Arcane, Spider Verse, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Ghibli, and more!” Some of his videos have garnered 3-4 million views! Schnee shared his creative process with the Rambam Men as well as his origin story. They also saw portions of his videos with Schnee adding additional commentary to the commentary.
The most salient part of the talk, however, was Schnee, an Orthodox Jew, discuss how he handled antiSemitism in his space. He made it clear to the boys that being a proud Jew has given him a distinct advantage in his providing him with a unique perspective, specifically the Brisker Derech, on how to analyze content. Schnee’s point, that his perspective serves as an Ohr la’goyin, “a light to the nations,” was a point well taken.
